Reflection:
- The distortion out of these three shots is in the second one, the 18mm, where my gracious wife’s face appears to be sloping upward, almost as if she’s leaning her head back and looking at the camera or pushing her face forward.
- What’s interesting to me is that the first shot, at 35mm, feels really impersonal and bland. The second shot, though somewhat distorted feels like it has character, that a part of her personality that I recognize and appreciate is in that photo. The longer shot, at 60mm, makes her appear a bit vulnerable to me.

*In reviewing the assignment as I’m posting to my PLP, I realized that the zoom on this is closer than it should’ve been. The instructions say 120mm-135mm and I’m all the way up to 170mm.
**The foot zoom and zoom lens part of this assignment took me several days, not the technical aspects, but really finding something I felt was visually interesting to shoot. These six shots at the train station are from my third day of shooting and, well, at that point I thought I had the instructions down and didn’t have them with me, which is why the miscalculation no this last shot. That said, thoroughly enjoyed this assignment.

They could be better, but on the plus side, I was shooting with aperture priority and was just thrilled to know enough about the settings that they didn’t come out totally dark w/exception of a bright light in the sky:
